We had one small math error in our calculations which caused the 6th & 7th place spots to switch places from the results we announced last night. But, no big deal!
Interestingly enough, to me anyway.... I went through all these calculations to get a time credit based on which box people started from, and it made absolutely no difference whatsoever in the final calculations of placements. Weird! I figured there was such a big difference in the total driving distances that it would be blantantly unfair to start at certain places without the time credits.

Information regarding BNL BaliGrl & Double Dragon's letterboxing scavenger hunt.
The Vitals
- What: Letterboxing Scavenger Hunt
- Date: Saturday 10/27/2007
- Theme: Scary movies and cemeteries
- Starting Point: Rotary Park in Livonia, MI (on 6 Mile, West of Merriman), probably in the small pavillion in the SW-ish section of the park
- Time: Check In between 10-11am
- Search area: Primarily NW Wayne County, and a little bit of Southern Oakland County
- Distance/Length: Approximately 45-60 miles roundtrip from starting to ending points and roughly 4-5 hours to complete hunt. As many hours of "after party" as people can endure!
- Ending Point: That's for you to figure out! Clues to the final destination to be solved along the way. It'll have warmth and food!
- Stamps: 8 Box stamps and 1 Event stamp - Handcarved by Double Dragon (All box stamps are replicas of "B" Horror Movie posters)
- Boxes: Planted and "clued" by BNL BaliGrl
List of helpful items to bring to this event:
- * Your normal letterboxing stuff, especially pens and ink pads
- * Compass may be necessary if you are "directionally challenged"
- * Personal Traveler's and Cooties, for the "after party"
- * Street maps of Wayne & Oakland Counties
- * Cell phone
- * A full tank of gas
- * Money for dinner (Approx $5 per adult, $2 kids 5-12)
- * Snacks & drinks for refreshment while hunting
- * Rain gear/jackets/boots/gloves... depending on weather
- * List of Box #'s matched with corresponding place name
